Apple acquires a startup that uses AI to make music that fits your mood
Apple acquired AI Music, a startup that uses artificial intelligence to generate tailor-made music to fit your mood. The technology from the London-based business founded in 2016 can create “royalty-free adaptive music” that changes based on a person’s heartbeat, mood, and other qualities like speeding up as a person’s heart rate increases during a workout.
Zoom In: Apple could have made the acquisition to support its audio services and offerings like Apple Music. In 2021, the company purchased Primephonic, a classical music streaming service. This year, Apple intends to turn the service into an app tied to Apple Music.
