England has granted official approval for the world’s first flying taxi and drone airport which will be opened in Coventry. The officials said that it will start to render services later in 2021.

Zoom In: The project has received a £1.2m government grant that has been matched by Hyundai Motor Group. The zero-emission hub, called Air One, is going to be designed by urban-Air Port and aims at demonstrating how air taxis and cargo drones will integrate into daily life, its success determining future expansion into the city. However, no passenger flights will actually take place at the facility.
