Apple's video creation app Clips now lets users add augmented reality effects via the LiDAR scanner on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro. Thanks to the new AR spaces feature, users can add AR confetti, lasers, and more, placing them behind people and furniture as well as on the walls or floors. Users can scan a room to look at a live preview of seven effects: hearts, sparkles, stardust, disco, dance floor, prima, and confetti.

The new effects, which look nothing less than magic, provide a glimpse into the powerful AR effects Apple will be able to boast when its AR glasses come out, rumored to be released in 2023.
