As the world turns towards electric vehicles, what is one thing you would miss about fossil fuel cars? Turns out for a lot of people that is the smell of gasoline. After finding in a survey that for 20% of drivers, the smell of gas would be the No. 1 thing they would miss about gas-powered vehicles, Ford created a new gasoline-scented fragrance. The same survey found that over 70% of participants would miss the smell of gasoline to some degree.
Created in a partnership with the renowned fragrance consultancy, Olfiction, to drive EV adoption, the Mach-Eau includes notes of smoke, rubber, and even an ‘animal’ element. The fragrance is unfortunately not available for purchase yet.
